SRILANKA

Srilanka Police Force consist of 85,000 officers who are under the control of Inspector General Of Police. Head of police reports to Minister of Defence. Now a days, Inspector General of Police is N.K.Illangakoon. Special force named, Special Task Force is present who are concerned with efforts against terrorism and protection of VIPs. Their main goal is to maintain public safety and well being of srilankan citizens to keep peace in society. Also, intelligence agencies are included in this department to regulate national issues.

JAPAN

Police department of Japan is controlled by Prefectural police which works under the observation of NPA (National Police Agency). National Public Safety Commission  is responsible for the activities of NPA. There are no special officers for NPA ,instead its duty is to set rules and policies for issues. But in case  of national emergency, it can take hold of prefectural police. The Criminal Investigation Bureau is also a part of Japanese police system which is responsible for prevention of crimes. For easy contact with police, some mini stations have been made called Kobans.

INDIA

India has different states, each one of which has its own police force. All activities of police is controlled by state government because police is considered as a state subject. The "Director General of Police (DGP)" is responsible for activities of police force in each state of India. Senior officers of police force are selected from IPS(Indian Police Service) test. Special organizations are also present like " State Armed Police Forces" which control military and other serious national issues. Special federal police agencies are also present at Federal level which assist state in their duties.

MYANMAR

"Myanmar Police Force"organized in 1964 is under the control of Ministry of Home Affairs. Police force is divided into 14 states and 3 additional states, all handled by Police Colonels. Their ambition is to maintain order in society and prevent spread of crimes. Some special departments are also present, which are: CID, Railways Police Department, Traffic Police and Special Intelligence Department. Also special "Anti-narcotics force" has been established which is concerned with control of drug abuse. For proper training of officers, 5 training centers for police are present in Myanmar.

DENMARK

Police of Denmark is the main force which controls the internal matters of Danish state, while the external matters are controlled by Danish military. The main motive of Danish police is to maintain security and prosperity of citizens as well as to ensure law and order in society. Police of Denmark is divided into 12 districts, each one of which is controlled by a director. There are also 2 minor districts handled by a local chief of police. Along with common police, special forces are also present which controls budgets and accounting, intelligence agencies etc.

NEPAL

Nepal Police Organization is the main system used by the government to maintain peace and stop crimes. They maintain law and order by protecting the rights of citizens. Another efficient force named " Armed Police Force" is preset in Nepal. It is a special military force which controls both military and police matters. It consists of 35,000 agents who work on law and order, VIP security and hostage rescue etc.

ITALY

Polizia di Stato is considered to be the main state force of Italy. Police force is divided into Highway patrol, Railway force, Airport police and Customs. 13 mobile units have been established in different cities of Italy. To control terrorism, "Anti terrorism police" has been prepared. Main ambition of Italian police force is to maintain peace in their country .The most efficient and skilled police force of Italy is a branch of their army called "Carabinieri". They are meant to deal with very serious national crimes. They are 113,000 in number and they are best funded of all Italian forces. Italy has a very efficient police force. In 2005, total agents were 324,339 in number which is twice of United kingdom.
